Happy Thanksgiving
Today is a day of thanksgiving. This will mean different things to many out there, but for our family it is a long tradition of bringing the family together.
It is the cooking, laughing, and enjoying family. It is the forgetting the reality of our busy lives and enjoying the company of the ones you love. For us, that is a huge meal, the kids running around the house and in the yard playing (loudly), the board games that are around the room by the end of the night, movies, parades, football, and whatever else is decided to be put on the TV. Many times goes unnoticed until later in the day. It is the stories and the catching up with the ones we love.
Yes, a drink or two thrown in with the family and just plain fun. Some of us travel to get to these gatherings. Planning for any shopping for the weekend and after eating crashing on the couches until we can move again. Then it will be game time! Of course, more eating will happen, because I think we get up eating and go to bed eating.
